Everyone who was involved in planning and participating in the wonderful patriotic program at the Coliseum is to be commended.

Coming from a much larger city, I am so impressed that a small town, like Bainbridge, has so much talent and willing participants.

The attendance showed the patriotism of the citizens of Bainbridge and Decatur County.

The only disappointment—I understand that special seats were reserved and invitations extended to our city and county officials and all but a few of these seats were empty.

You would think these officials would be the most upstanding and patriotic citizens and would surely make a big effort to be a part of this Fourth of July memorial event.

They missed a moving experience.
