McCullough YMCA basketball camp begins Monday

Highly successful Bainbridge High School Bearcats head basketball coach Rickey McCullough will be conducting a Bearcat Basketball Camp for 9-to-14-year-olds Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9 at the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA.
The cost is $5 for members and $20 for non members. Assistant coaches and current and former Bearcat players will take part in the instruction as well.
There will be two sessions each day in the YMCA Gym, a session for 9-to-11-year-olds from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a session for 12-to-14-year-olds from 10 a,m. to 12 p.m. All participants will receive a basketball camp T-shirt.
During the 2008-2009 season, McCullough led the Bearcats to a 27-4 record, the championship of the Maclay School Holiday Hoopfest in Tallahassee, Fla. the Region 1AAAA championship and a berth in the State Class AAAA Final Four.
A 33-year coaching veteran, McCullough had an outstanding 26-year career as head coach at Chipley (Fla.) High School before coming to BHS. He posted an outstanding 599-229 record while leading his Chipley teams to 20 District championships and 15 Regional championships.
He was Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) District coach of the year five times and Panhandle Athletic Conference coach of the year 10 times.
McCullough was FACA coach of the year and Florida Dairy Farmers state of Florida coach of the year in 2002. He was head North Florida All-Star coach in 2003.
