Funeral services for Lillie Mae Faggs, 83, of Bainbridge, will be held Thursday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses on Dothan Road with Brother Ronald Durham officiating.

Interment will follow at Jonas Lobe Cemetery with friends of the family serving as active pallbearers.

Born Jan. 2, 1926, Ms. Faggs died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga.

Survivors include a son, Fred Sylvester Martin of Naranja, Fla.; eight daughters, Roberta Cannon of Bethlehem, Pa., Mary Louise Chambers of Woodbridge, N.J., and Sarah Ann Faggs, Jeanice Faggs, Joyce Gaines, Juana Denise Rangel and Elaine Thomas, all of Bainbridge; one step-sister, Roberta Jackson of Wilmington, Del.; two sisters, Lula Mae Burke and Joann Gaines Bell, both of Bainbridge; two brothers, Johnny Gaines Jr. and Bufford Gaines, both of Bainbridge; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
