Funeral services for Barbara Marie Griffiss Sanders, 47, of Bainbridge, were held Wednesday, July 1, at New Fountainhead Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Hoose officiating.

Interment followed at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Dennis J. Dollar, Billy Wingate, Wayne Josey, Chuck Carson, James Barwick and Doug Brock serving as active pallbearers.

Born Dec. 11, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Sanders died on Monday, June 29, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Survivors include her husband of eight years, Walter E. Sanders Jr. of Bainbridge, and lots of friends who loved her.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
