Funeral services for Dora Merkison Goodwin, 91, of Brinson, Ga., will be held Sunday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Kenny Johnson and Curtis Earnest officiating.

Interment will follow at Calvary Assembly of God Church Cemetery near Brinson, Ga. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born Jan. 7, 1918, in Seminole County, Ga., Mrs. Goodwin died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Donalsonville Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. “Doc” Goodwin, and a grandson, Stacey Goodwin.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Goodwin of Brinson, Ga.; a grandson, Daryl Goodwin of Brinson, Ga.; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
