Congratulations to the Bainbridge Leisure Services Department’s 14-year-old-and-under girls Dirt Devil All-Star fast pitch softball team on winning the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA )District 3 championship in Cairo.

They clinched the title with convincing 12-2 and 11-1 Friday victories over the Grady County All-Stars. They will represent Bainbridge in the July 9, 10 and 11 GRPA State Tournament in Vidalia.

Two other Bainbridge Leisure Services Department All-Star teams, the 12-year-old and under girls fast pitch softball team and 10-year-old and under boys All-Star baseball team are still in the hunt for GRPA District 3 championships and a third, the 17-year-old and under girls fast pitch softball team bowed out in a hard-fought, three-game series in Leesburg.

We congratulate the District 3 champion Dirt Devil All-Stars and wish them well in the state tournament while expressing great pride in the performances of all our Bainbridge teams.
