Lawaner Cross

Funeral services for Lawaner Mae Mock Cross, 83, of Bainbridge, were held Tuesday, June 16, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Davidson officiating.
Interment followed at Brinson Cemetery with Rawleigh Furney, Anthony Harrell, Dusty Willeby, Gary Wimberly, Lawson Wimberly and James Cross serving as active pallbearers.
Born Aug. 5, 1925, in Decatur County, Mrs. Cross died on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Cross was a waitress who loved gardening and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John C. Cross.
Survivors include two daughters, Willie Cross of Bainbridge and Kim Hand, also of Bainbridge; three sons, Jim Cross of Bainbridge, Leon Cross of Montevallo, Ala., and John Allen Cross of Fort Myers, Fla.; four sisters, Pauline Gordon of Bainbridge, Judy Watts, Jimmie Draper and Agnes Craft residence?; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
