Hutchins graduates cum laude

Thomas University recently graduated the largest class in the history of the school at the 54th commencement ceremony held on May 2 at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium. Among those graduating was Laura Leigh Hutchins of Donalsonville, Ga. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education open to students who rank in the top 20 percent of their class or have a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Hutchins is currently pursuing her master’s at Thomas University. She works part time as a library assistant at the Southwest Georgia Regional Library in Bainbridge. Hutchins is a former graduate of Miller County High School and a 2007 graduate of Bainbridge College. She is the daughter of Allen and Kathy Hutchins, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brown, Mrs. Willie Ree Hutchins and the late Mr. Wilkin Hutchins.
