Funeral services for Edna C. Roland, 94, of Colquitt, Ga., were held Monday, June 15, in the Sheffield Funeral Chapel at Colquitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating.

Interment followed at New Salem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery near Colquitt.

Born Oct. 27, 1914, in Early County, Ga., Mrs. Roland died Friday, June 12, 2009, at River Willows Nursing Home in Abbeville, Ga.

Mrs. Roland was a homemaker and a member of New Salem Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Roland.

Survivors include two sons, J.E. Roland of Bainbridge, and Jerry Roland of Colquitt, Ga.; two daughters, Nellie Lane of Iron City, Ga., and Jewell Chambers of Eatonton, Ga.; two sisters, Zara Sprayberry and Hazel Driggers, both of Atlanta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Colquitt Funeral Home in Colquitt, Ga., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
