West Bainbridge Middle students reach out globally

The West Bainbridge Middle School seventh-grade Peach Team presented the play Lagooned to fellow students and the public on April 28. All proceeds from the play were used to purchase four Bountiful Harvest packages from World Vision. Each package will supply a Third World family with seeds, a goat and money toward a treadle pump (used for irrigation). A fifth family will receive two ducks. This is the eighth (and last) year that the Peach Team students have reached out to help those in need. Past gifts have included construction of a school room in Africa, the building of a fish pond, the rescue of southeastern Asian girls from slavery, plus an array of goats, ducks, chickens and a camel. Money has also been donated for Tsunami relief and the Dalfur Project.
