The Money Tree and Team Conway were winners in Monday’s annual Bainbridge Rotary Club Golf Tournament at Bainbridge Country Club.

Playing under a four-person scramble format with each player hitting their second shot from the spot of the longest drive, both winning teams shot rounds of 19-under-par 53.

The Money Tree team of Marvin Hall, Tommy Nix, Dan Anderson and Brad Bellville won the championship flight, and Team Conway, with Tom Conway, Charles Griffin, Drane Smith and Julian Branch, won the first flight.

Hall said he thought it was significant that he and Nix were both left-handed golfers.

“You don’t often find two left-handed golfer on the same team,” Hall said.

Several longest drive and closest to the pin awards were given Monday as well.

Rosemary Dixon and Matt Palmer had the longest ladies and men’s drives on hole No. 1, and Julian Branch had the longest drive on hole No. 18.

James Cox was closet to the pin on hole No. 11, Bill Allen was closet to the pin on hole No. 7, and Randy Poitevint was closet to the pin on hole No. 13.
