Funeral services for Edna Olivent Wells, 83, of Albany, Ga., formerly of Faceville, will be held Thursday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenshade Cemetery, with Christopher Wells, Ryan Laughridge, Stan Cumbie, James Junkins, Todd Dollar, Gene Winter and Greg Russell serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 10, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.

Born Sept. 4, 1925, in Decatur County, Ga., Mrs. Wells died on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at her residence. She was a graduate of Faceville High School, Class of 1942, was a retired bookkeeper, and a Christian Methodist.

Survivors include her husband, Rudy Wells of Albany, Ga.; her son, Glenn Wells of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; three daughters, Janelle Winter of Albany, Cindy Junkins of Sylvester, Ga., and Marcia Cumbie of Albany, Ga.; a brother, Herbert A. Olivent of Bainbridge, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
