The start of something big

Join us at the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library on Tuesday, June 9, at 10 a.m. as children’s illustrator Michael P. White presents “The Start of Something BIG!,” an interactive language and arts drawing program.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga., Mr. White received his Associate of Arts from the Art Institute of Atlanta. He has illustrated three children’s books: The Library Dragon (winner of the 1997 Flicker Tale Children’s Book Award, an Honor Book for the 1997-1998 Florida Reading Association Children’s Book Award), The Secret of Old Zeb (winner of an Award of Merit from the Southeastern Library Association) with Carmen Agra Deedy, and Harriett’s Horrible Hair Day with Dawn Lesley Stewart. He is currently working on the sequel to The Library Dragon.

Calling all muggles!

Join us for all the witchcraft and wizardry of Harry Potter at the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library on Wednesday, June 10, at 2 p.m. Come dressed as your favorite character and prepare for trivia, games and more!
