Jacob Sullivan, the 16-year-old son of former Bainbridge residents Gary and Stefani Sullivan, won the gold medal for Computer Maintenance Technology (CMT) at the recent Skills-USA Region 2 high school competition held in Northeast Georgia. The CMT competition required participants to identify and repair computer hardware malfunctions, solve configuration problems and remove and install common components. Contestants also took the exam to receive their A+ Certification, which demonstrates competency as a computer technician. Sullivan, who is the grandson of Janette Sullivan of Bainbridge, will now compete in the Skills-USA state-level competition to be held in Atlanta. He is a 10th-grade student at Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega, Ga., and is a member of the varsity football, tennis and robotics teams.
