Funeral services for Mary Wheeler Bivings, 92, of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with the Rev. Kirk Loyless and Dr. Raymond Guterman officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Burke, Brad Trawick, Brown Moseley, Buzz Guterman, Brett Guterman and Dr. Charles O. Walker.

Born in Iron City, Ga., on March 28, 1917, Mrs. Bivings died on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Bivings was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. She may be best remembered for owning and operating Bivings Department Store for 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C.L. “Windy” Bivings; and a sister, Nell Wheeler Guterman.

Survivors include a daughter, Betsy Kelley of Donalsonville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
