The agricultural communications team and the nursery landscape team placed first in area competition and competed on the state level.

Sara Beth Pelham served as an Area officer representing Area 5. The chapter had many teams participate in career development events and leadership events.

The livestock show team represented the chapter well at many livestock events throughout the state this year bringing home many championships with all species of livestock shown, said Chapter adviser Hugh Lanier.

He said being selected as the outstanding chapter was icing on the cake for a successful year.
