Services for Sarah Alred Browne, 87, of Bainbridge, were held Thursday, May 28, at Sylvania Methodist Church in Faceville with the Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating.

Interment followed in the Cairo Cemetery in Cairo, Ga.

Born Sept. 5, 1921, in Thomasville, Ga., Mrs. Browne died on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Medart, Fla.

Mrs. Browne was a homemaker and a member of Sylvania Methodist Church of Bainbridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emerson W. Browne Sr., and a son, Emerson W. Browne Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances Quigg of Sopchoppy, Fla., and a son, Alex Browne of Bainbridge.

Clark Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
