Funeral services for Patsy NeSmith Evans, 69, of Ellijay, Ga., formerly of Bainbridge, will be held Sunday, May 31, at 2 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Cloud officiating.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born April 14, 1940, in Thomas County, Ga., Mrs. Evans died on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at her residence in Ellijay.

She was a graduate of Thomasville High School, Class of 1958, and was a retired administrative coordinator for the Decatur County Health Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ellijay where she was active in the Chancel Choir.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, E. Bobby Evans.

Survivors include her two sons, Steve Evans of Columbus, Ga., and Richard Evans of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Gina Evans Putman of Ellijay; a brother, Norman NeSmith of Thomasville, and three grandchildren.
