On Saturday morning, May 23, several members of the V.F.W. Post 4904 were at Wal-Mart, with their permission, giving out Buddy Poppies to people who were there to shop.

We were not soliciting money, but accepting donations offered.

Most of the people told us how much they appreciated the flowers and were very generous—some people did not know what Memorial Day was and what it meant—a few people threw the poppies on the ground and told me how much they resented the armed forces, even quoting a few scriptures from the Bible.

I pointed out that if it were not for our armed forces, they would not have the freedom that we enjoy.

God may forgive them, but I won’t.
