Funeral services for James “Eddie” Jacobson, 64, of Bainbridge, will be held Friday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dewitt Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow at Beulah Thomas Baptist Church Cemetery with John Godwin, Johnny McDonald, Joe Kimbrel, Frankie Kelley Jr., Harry Bridges, and Stevie Scott serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 31, 1944, in Grady County, Ga., Mr. Jacobson died on Monday, May 25, 2009, at Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jacobson was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Christopher Jacobson and Jamie Jacobson.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Sizemore Robinson of Bainbridge; two sons, Roger N. Robinson of Gravette, Ark., and Leslie A. Robinson of Bainbridge; two daughters, Mary Robinson-Scott and Jennifer M. Caldwell, both of Bainbridge; three brothers, Leroy Jacobson and Aubrey Jacobson, both of Memphis, Tenn., and Frank Godwin of Bainbridge; three sisters, Joyce Bryant and Ann Godwin, both of Albany, Ga., and Evelyn Franklin of Bainbridge; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
