Funeral services for Jose Ramos, 41, of Bainbridge and formerly of Mexico, will be held Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gwan Garrison and Roberto Mena S.T. officiating.

Interment will follow in Santa Cruz Cemetery in Santa Cruz, Mixtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 23, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.

Born May 1, 1968, in Mexico, Mr. Ramos died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga.

Mr. Ramos worked for Clinton Nurseries of Florida and attended Franklin Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Austina Lopez Chave of Oaxaco, Mexico; his wife of 21 years, Margarita De Hernandez Lopez of Bainbridge; three sons, Ramon Ramos Hernandez, Juvenal Ramos Hernandez and Bulmaro Ramos Hernandez, all of Bainbridge; two brothers, Vicente Ramos of Bainbridge and Luis Ramos of Utah; and his sister, Juliana Ramos of Georgia.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
