Funeral services for Tessie Lee Salters Benton of Bainbridge are Friday, May 22, at Pleasant Hill M.B. Church in Decatur County with the Rev. Willie William officiating.

Interment will follow in White Bridge Cemetery with friends of Mrs. Benton’s family serving as active pallbearers.

A native of Decatur County, Mrs. Benton died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Benton was a member of Pleasant Hill M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Aaron Benton.

Survivors include three sons, Johnny Salters, Johnny Lee and Ricky Benton; three daughters, Joanna Anderson, Mildred Ross and Clementine Bell; three sisters, Hazel King, Murylene Jones and Betty Salters; two brothers, Raymond Salters and Jonathan Salters; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.
