The local Dairy Queen on West Shotwell Street is accepting canned food in exchange for free ice cream. Anyone bringing in at least a 3-ounce canned good will receive a free small ice cream cone. The food will then be turned over to the local Salvation Army for it to distributed to needy families. The promotion ends on Sunday, May 17.
