Next season, the Bearcats will play at their new field at the new Bainbridge High School.

Tuesday’s game with Lee County, which was the makeup of a April 21 rainout, was scoreless through the first three innings.

The Bearcats threatened to take the lead in the bottom of the third. Center fielder Dee Friday reached on an error and moved to second before being stranded.

The Trojans went ahead to stay when they rallied for three in the top of the fourth.

Catcher Taylor Howell and left fielder Kent Patrick drew back-to-back walks to open the Trojans’ fourth and were aboard when first baseman Kolton Glover connected for a three-run homer.

After scoring a run in the sixth to increase their lead to 4-0, the Trojans scored four in the seventh to put the game away.

Patrick led off the sixth with a single, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and came in on an error.

A three-run homer by third baseman Matt Aldridge highlighted the Trojans’ four-run seventh-inning rally.

Patrick started the inning with a single, moved to second when Howell drew a walk and came in on an error. Howell and Glover, who reached on a fielder’s choice, were aboard when Aldridge connected for his three-run blast.
