On Friday, April 17, the middle school and high school students of Grace Christian Academy treated a large crowd to the 2009 spring edition of Finer Things, which is the fine arts program at GCA where students showcase their talents and creativity centered around a theme each semester.
Fine arts at GCA includes a diverse array of subjects such as choir, praise band, drama, film and most recently orchestral strings.
For this Finer Things, the student’s pieces took on the theme of love as depicted in the Bible.
With a range of musical genres, various film pieces produced entirely by students, and two gripping student-written plays—the theme came to life on stage and challenged everyone present to live out God’s perfect love.
One of the major points of emphasis is that each piece be done entirely by students, from the writing to the live performance to the multimedia technology utilized.
Hats off to our students for their outstanding work!
