Martha Hurley

Funeral services for Martha Gail “Marti” Hurley, 59, of Donalsonville, Ga., were on Friday, April 24, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with the Rev. Eric Boomer officiating.

Interment followed at Rock Pond/Olive Grove Cemetery in Iron City, Ga., with Michael Temples, Jeremy Holley, Jacob Holley, Joe Barber, John B. Calloway, Todd Dunn, Eric Temples, Marty Temples, Matthew Vorse and Tony Black serving as pallbearers.

Born on Nov. 16, 1949, Mrs. Hurley died on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Donalsonville Hospital in Donalsonville, Ga.

She worked as a purchasing coordinator with Seminole Memorial and Amaco Fabrics. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville. She was preceded in death by her father, M.G. Holley, and her husband, Johnny Wayne Hurley.

Survivors include her mother, Evelyn H. Kirksey of Donalsonville; a son, Buddy Wayne Hurley of Bainbridge, Ga.; a daughter, Tessie Temples of Iron City, Ga.; a brother, Jerry Holley of Donalsonville; two sisters, Becky Faircloth of Donalsonville, and Dianne Vorse of Leesburg, Ga.; her best friend, Margaret Tedder of Donalsonville; two grandchildren, three surrogate grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
