Climax holds Easter coloring contest

The City of Climax held the first Easter coloring contest for children ages 2 to 12 years. The coloring sheets were furnished by the city and had to be turned in for judging on April 9. The winners were announced on April 10.
There were four age groups and 15 children entered.
First-place winner were Ema Jenkins, 4; Gracie Worthington, 5; Darryel Thornton, 7, and Kasey Phillips, 10.
Second-place winners were Gunner Jenkins, 3; Jackson Worek, 6; Caleb Brock, 9, and Rebecca Toole, 11.
Prizes that included huge stuffed bunny rabbits, Easter eggs and candy were donated by Pamela Newkirk Jackson of Crochet Designs, citizens of Climax and the city of Climax.
Thanks for cakes
Gloria Scarbrough, a member of the Ham and Egg supper committee, sends a big thank you to all who donated a homemade cake for the bake and cake sale, and to all those who purchased a cake at the supper.
