Grace inducts 23 into honor society

Twenty-three middle school students were inducted on March 12 into the National Junior Honor Society at Grace Christian Academy.
New members include Alex McLendon, Veronica Harrell, Haley Smith, Kaitlin Adams, Bo Bailey, Josh Carnes, Aaron Carraway, Logan Davis, Lexie Goodson, Chelsey Harrell, Chase Harris, Niklas Isler, Austin McQuaid, Merrianna Parker, Ansley Posey, Jeremiah Register, Jacob Sego, Lydia Thompson, Alex Ward, Brent Warr, Daniel Winburn, Shellby Woodrum and Hannah Wynn.
GCA’s National Junior Honor Society officers are Stephanie Mills, president; Bryce McQuaid, vice president; Mary Ann Adams, secretary; Alea Simmons, treasurer; Christina Greene, reporter, and Kyle Harris, historian.
Other members in good standing are Ashton Anderson, Sarah Grace Carpenter, Lauren Carraway, Taylor Cumbie, Jordan Davis, Michael Evans, Zyreese Guy, Dylan Harrell, Rachel Harrell, Emma Heard, Trea Kelly, Russell King, Luke Martin, Grant McDonald, Melissa Mills, Kishan Patel, Brandi Register, Jessica Register, Danielle Rutten, Abby Smith, Paul Randall Soden, Colby Swicord and Caylin Walsingham,
The National Junior Honor Society recognizes students at Grace with an 85 or above core-curricular grade point average. (These are the required classes for any Honor Roll, not electives.) They must also be recommended by our Faculty Council as to character and self-discipline in the classroom. These criteria must be maintained during membership.
The National Junior Honor Society includes grades seventh through ninth and sixth-graders after the first semester. We have 52 members.
