Funeral services for Bobby Joe Roaten, 65, of Iron City, Ga., will be held Tuesday, April 14, at New Hope Worship Assembly in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Charles Barineau officiating.

Interment followed in Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, Ga.

Born in Dell, Ark., on Oct. 15, 1943, Mr. Roaten died at his residence on Sunday, April 12, 2009.

Mr. Roaten was employed by Donalsonville Motor Company and was a member of the Seminole Group of AA. He was a member of New Hope Worship Assembly of Donalsonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Carl Roaten, Melvin Roaten, Cleo Benefeld and John Roaten.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Roaten of Ruskin, Fla., and Joseph Roaten of Dawson, Ga.; a daughter, Kim Chance of Iron City, Ga., and a brother, Charles Roaten of Ruskin, Fla.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
