Funeral services for James Curtis “Cake Daddy” Christian Jr., 29, of Attapulgus, Ga., will be held today, April 11, at 3 p.m. at St. Thomas M.B. Church with the Rev. James Hamilton officiating.

Interment will follow at Jonas Lobe Cemetery with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Christian was born Oct. 13, 1979, in Bainbridge. He died on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at his residence. He was a member of St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1999 graduate of Bainbridge High School and a former student of Bainbridge College.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Geraldine and Adolphus Peterson Jr.; a sister, Kimberly Chandler; a stepsister, Brittany Peterson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a host of family and friends.
