Gloria Cook

Funeral services for Gloria Gaynelle Cook, 73, of Fitzgerald, Ga., formerly of Bainbridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 in the Liberty Emanuel Holiness Church in Fitzgerald, with Rev. Wilburn Wiley officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada, Ga.

Mrs. Cook was born on September 7, 1935 in Grady County. She passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in the Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.

Cook had lived the past 17 years in Fitzgerald moving there from Bainbridge. She was a member of the Liberty Emanuel Holiness Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Cook and a daughter, Anna M. Jackson.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Cook of Montclair, Calif. and Josh Cook of Fitzgerald, Ga., three daughters, Esther Folds of Macon, Ga., Martha Weldon of Quitman, Ga., and Cindy Weaver of Fitzgerald; two brothers, Roger Gaddis of Preston, Miss., and Jerald Gaddis of Fitzgerald; a sister, Mary Faircloth of Fitzgerald; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
