Bates awarded Army construction project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a Bainbridge company a $20 million contract to build a new facility at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa, Fla. On March 10, the Corps of Engineers’ Mobile office awarded Bates Engineering/Contractors Inc. of Bainbridge a bid of $20,048,601 to design and build a squadron facility for the Joint Communications Support Element, which is comprised of soldiers with tactical network and communications skills. The project has an estimated completion date of June 2012.
