Jordan Poitevint, daughter of Steve and Christy Poitevint of Bainbridge, has been selected to serve as an Auburn University Tigerette/Tiger Hosts for the 2009-2010 year. The Tigerettes/Tiger Hosts are the athletic division of Students of Auburn Recruiting. These young men and women assist the Auburn Athletic Administration with departmental functions. They assist Tigers Unlimited and work closely with the football coaching staff as well as representing the Auburn Athletic Department by participating in numerous community service activities in the Auburn/Opelika area. Poitevint is currently a sophomore and is majoring in pre-nursing. “The Tigerettes and Tiger Hosts do an outstanding job in a classy, professional manner,” said Head Football Coach Gene Chizik. Poitevint is the granddaughter of Myrle Herring of Bainbridge and the late William C. Herring, and Buddy and Marion Hicks of Opelika, Ala., and the late Dr. Ottis Poitevint.
