Memorial services for Frank N. Jones, 75, of the Oak Grove Community will be Saturday, March 28, at 12 p.m. at Oak Grove Christian Church with the Revs. Scott Messer and Lindsay Gay officiating.
Born on Dec. 15, 1933, in Miami, Fla., Mr. Jones died on Thursday, March 25, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Jones was a graduate of Miami Jackson Senior High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He also live in Cordova, Ark., and Franklinton, La.
He appeared on ABC’s “Wide World of Sports, The Agony of Defeat” and inspired an invention to assist with brain surgery.
Survivors include his son, Frank N. Jones Jr. of Cordova, Ark., two daughters, Diane Boone of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Tina Pruett of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a sister, Debbie; six grandchildren; a special friend and caregiver, Kitty Stewart, and his companion, Pepper.
Ivey Funeral Home will assist with funeral arrangements.
