A memorial service for Ms. Linda Aurand Conte, age 65, of Panama City, Fla., will be held at a later date.

Ms. Conte was born in 1943. She died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at a Panama City, Fla., hospital.

Conte had resided in Panama City for the past two years, having moved from Bainbridge. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #222 of Homer, N.Y.; a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bainbridge and an active member of the Episcopal Church Women’s Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Aurand and Betty VanBuskirk, daughter, Virginia Aurand, and step-brother, Roger VanBuskirk.

Survivors include two sons, Theodore K. Conte and wife Tammy of Panama City; Sean Conte and wife Danielle of Cortland, NY; five grandchildren: Nicole and husband David, Patricia, Nathaniel, Megan, and Addison; two great-grandchildren: Adriana and Khyler; one step-brother: Russ Barnes and wife Pat of Tennessee; and stepmother, Barbara Aurand of Homer, NY.

There will be a memorial service held for Ms. Conte at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 516 E. Broughton Street, Bainbridge, GA 39817; The Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607; or the VanBuskirk Scholarship Fund at Odessa-Montour Falls High School, 300 College Ave., Odessa, NY 14869.
