Eight fifth-grade students from Decatur County advanced to the Regional Social Science Fair that was held in Columbus, Ga., on Feb. 28. These students were selected based upon their placement in the local competition, which was held at Bainbridge College earlier in the month. The fifth-grade representatives from Decatur County are Kaitlyn Bullock (Jones-Wheat Elementary), Brianna Salem (Lillian E. Williams), Tyler Harrell (Lillian E. Williams), Corey Morrison (West Bainbridge Elementary), Taylor Bush (John-Johnson Elementary), Nicolette Grace McIntosh (John-Johnson Elementary), Josef Drinkard (West Bainbridge Elementary) and Elisia Everson (Lillian E. Williams). Bush, Morrison and Salem were awarded first place in the Region and will advance to the State Fair on today, March 21, being held in Hampton, Ga.
