Graveside services for Amanda L. Davis, 80, of Miami, Fla., were held Saturday, March 21, in Conyers Cemetery with the Rev. John H. Neal officiating.

Born on Oct. 14, 1928, in Decatur County, Mrs. Davis died on March 12, 2009.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Mount Moriah No. 1 Baptist Church until she left Climax as a young adult. She moved to Miami, Fla., soon after finishing school at Mount Moriah High School. She was retired as the supervisor of housekeeping at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla.

Preceding her in death were her two sons, John Arthur and Eddie.

Survivors include five grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, two nieces and a host of family and friends.
