Funeral services for Brenda Sue Sykes Phillips, 59, of Bainbridge, will be held Friday, March 20, at Morningside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Hart officiating.

Interment will follow in West Bainbridge Cemetery with William Meredith, Jackie Moat, Wayne Sykes, Trey Sykes, Dennis Deal and Homer Meredith serving as active pallbearers.

Born on July 29, 1949, in Decatur County, Mrs. Phillips died March 16, 2009, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.

She was a homemaker and attended Morningside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, David Phillips; a daughter, Patricia “Gina” King of Bainbridge; two brothers, David and Eddie Sykes, both of Bainbridge; and two grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
