Funeral services for Iris Harrell Harper Jennings, 85, of Bainbridge were held Monday, March 16, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Whigham, Ga., with the Revs. Johnny Burdick and Robert Crapps officiating.

Interment followed at Long Branch Cemetery in Cairo, Ga., with Derrick Jones, Dennis Jones, Ricky Jones, Donnie Prince, Randy Burks and Jerry Jones serving as pallbearers.

Born in Decatur County, Ga., on March 18, 1923, Mrs. Jennings died on Friday, March 13, 2009, at Bainbridge Healthcare.

Mrs. Jennings was a bakery sales clerk and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wendell Harper and Joe Jennings; four brothers, W.T. Harrell, Bronwood Harrell, Bill Harrell and Gene Harrell; and two sisters, Winifred Richter and Dorothy Addison.

Survivors include her brother, Edsell Harrell of Tifion, Ga.; a sister, Esther Jones of Climax; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Clark Funeral Home in Cairo was in charge of arrangements.
