Funeral services for Juanita M. Jackson, 80, of Leesburg, Ga., formerly of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Notchaway Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Suggs and James Scarborough officiating.

Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany, Ga. Mrs. Jackson will lie in state one hour before the funeral at Notchaway Baptist Church.

Born on Nov. 3, 1928, she died on March 8, 2009.

A native of Decatur County, Ga., Mrs. Jackson moved to the Albany area 45 years ago, before moving to Donalsonville in 1989.

She was retired from Newton Manufacturing Company and had attended the Calvary Assembly of God in Donalsonville and was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Albany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Jackson, Jessie Jackson and Jay Jackson of Albany, Ga.; two daughters, Pauline Cooper of Lawrenceville, Ga., Peggy Suggs of Lee County, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mathews Funeral Home in Albany is in charge of arrangements.
