Getting the Ham and Eggs ready for the annual spring time event in Climax that will benefit Cedar Grove Cemetery was the main theme for the planning meeting of the Ham and Egg Supper committee held at the Climax Community Club on Feb. 24.

Around 14 members of the committee met, but the committee is only some of the many workers who contribute their time and energy to make this annual event in Climax a success.

The planning committee agreed to have another meeting on Monday, April 6, at 7 p.m. to finalize all aspects of the supper.

The Ham and Egg supper is always held on Thursday evening before Easter. This year there will be no change and the date is April 9. Mark your calendars.

Flora Nell and Murry Hughes, chair and co-chair for the supper committee, invites all who are interested, or have loved ones interred in Cedar Grove Cemetery, and would like to help, to come out to the supper because there will be something for everyone to do.

The menu as always is: ham or sausage, grits and eggs, biscuits, and if dinning in an assortment of gravies and jellies are also available along with ice tea or coffee.

A drive through will also be provided if one can’t dine in. The price per plate is $7, and the proceeds will benefit Cedar Grove Cemetery.
