Funeral services for Diane Howard, 56, of Bridgeton, N.C., formerly of Climax, were held on Feb. 27, 2009, at Cotton Funeral Home in Bridgeton, N.C.

Born on Sept. 3, 1952, in Cairo, Ga., Mrs. Howard died on Feb. 24, 2009, in Bridgeton, N.C. Mrs. Howard had formerly lived in Climax, Ga., for three decades.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Howard; two daughters, Shannon May Dixon of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Kristie May of Jackson, Ga.; two brothers, Ronnie Phillips of Oglethorpe, Ga., and Ed Jackson of Auburndale, Fla.; a sister, Janice Bailey of Donalsonville, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Cotten Funeral Home in New Bern, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.
