Grateful to three men

My sisters and I would like to say thank-you to the three gentlemen that helped our mother on Monday, Feb. 16, after a terrible fall at Selman Place Apartments on Gordon Avenue.

What happened to her on that day is what all of us who have elderly parents fear will one day happen. She took a terrible fall that resulted in breaking her arm in 25 places, not to mention the other cuts and bruises she sustained during the fall.

Three men, who were total strangers to her, were passing by and saw that she was in need. They quickly responded by calling 911. All three men stayed by her side until help arrived. These men then contacted her family and made sure her apartment was secured after she was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

I was later told that one of the gentlemen told my mother that they had actually turned into the wrong apartment complex, and he went on to say that he thought the Lord was with them and sent them to her because she was in trouble.

What a wonderful world this would be if every citizen expressed the same kindness and concern these three men did on that day to someone they didn’t even know.

Our mother is the most precious thing in the world to us and we thank-you from the bottom of our hearts. We would like to thank-you in person if either of you read this and would give me a call (229) 246-1823. Ask for Debbie.
