There was a great turnout on Saturday at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Broughton Street for a book fair held to raise money for the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society. Those who came out were able to enjoy hot dogs sold to raise money for the church, peruse through the many book donated to support the cause and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a number of other donated items. The event raised more than $700, said Humane Society President Pam Immendorf.
