Funeral services for Bonnie Inez Brooks Holley, 64, of Ozark, Ala., formerly of Bainbridge, will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Cox-Ware Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Kirkland officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery with Michael Metcalf, Fred Walker, Jackie Vickers, Dale Ellis, Howard Bradshaw and Jonathan Cunningham serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, from 7-9 p.m., at Cox-Ware Funeral Home.

Born on April 22, 1944, in Decatur County, Ga., Mrs. Holley died on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at her residence in Ozark, Ala.

Mrs. Holley had lived in Decatur County most of her life, but had spent the last four years living in Alabama. She was a homemaker who had also worked at T.G. & Y and Elmore’s. She was formerly a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Cheshire Holley.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Walker and Peggy Ellis, both of Bainbridge; two sons, Michael Holley and Austin Holley, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; four sisters, Virginia Kennedy and Ruby Swiggard, both of Cairo, Ga., Gwen Battles of Bainbridge and Betty Brim of Tallahassee, Fla.; four brothers, Sydney Brooks of Albany, Ga., Jimmy Brooks and Billy Brooks, both of Crawfordville, Fla., and Buck Brooks of San Mateo, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
