Jerry Faircloth

Funeral services for Jerry E. Faircloth, 66, of Bainbridge, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Thaddeus Searles and the Rev. Tommy McNair officiating.

Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with Greg Bruce, Wayne Faircloth, Glen Matthews, Philip Barber, David Knight, Gene O’Hearn and Eric Knight serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Faircloth was born Jan. 25, 1943, in Donalsonville, Ga. He died on Feb. 21, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a retired installation and repair technician for the former Southern Bell company. He graduated from Bainbridge College, was of the Baptist faith, and a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include his wife, Marie B. Faircloth of Bainbridge; two sons, Jerry L. Faircloth and Jerry Allen Faircloth, both of Bainbridge; four daughters, Lita Crumby of Thomasville, Ga., Tina Arthur of Bainbridge, Nicki Faircloth-Bruce of Bainbridge, and Brittany Faircloth of Bainbridge; a brother, Larry Faircloth of Bainbridge; three sisters, Helen Davis of Panama City, Fla., Barbara Johnson of Harlem, Ga., and Delores Schnell of Richmond Hill, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.
