Sandie’s Diner – a flavorful variety

Sandie’s Diner, located at the place once know as Smitty’s, is a nice casual place to dine with a variety of foods.

First things first, being greeted at the front door makes you feel at home. I entered the restaurant area and seated myself. You get to pick where you would like to sit, so if you are looking for a romantic place to eat, this might not be your cup of tea. The menus were handed over and the drink order was taken. The menu covers all areas of food from hot dogs, and corn dogs, to hamburger steak and gravy or combo plates of seafood. One of the first things noticed when looking at the menu was that the prices aren’t that bad and in these economic times, good dining is always better when it doesn’t break you.

Not long after that, I received my drink and then the food order was taken. While giving the food order, it seemed the waitress had a hard time hearing because I had to repeat myself a couple of times. I know when I have to repeat my order a couple of times, I have a fear of not getting my order exactly the way that I wanted it.

About a grueling 25 to 30 minutes later, I received my order. Twenty-five to 30 minutes is a long time to wait for food, but it was worth the wait because it was quite delicious. Plus, during the wait, I discovered that they serve cheese grits as a compliment of eating there.

My order was cooked to perfection, and was given to me just as I wanted it. I was actually surprised that my order was correct, especially since I heard the waitress yelling at the cooks that they messed up another couple’s dinner by putting the wrong sides with the wrong dish.

At the end of the night, I had a full stomach and an empty plate. The food was delicious! My beverage ran low at times, and the bathroom wasn’t in the best condition. I suggest that if you desire to wash you hands when using the restroom, which I hope that all people do, you might want to wait until you get home. The bathroom was low on paper towels and soap.

Other than that, I would recommend anyone to try Sandie’s “Flavorful” Diner at least once if not more. I know that I will be back!
