Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Lewis Brock, 84, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the chapel of Cox-Ware Funeral Home in Bainbridge.
Interment will follow on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at noon, at Jones Cemetery in Callahan, Fla. Officiating ministers will be the Revs. Scott Messer, David Grubbs and Sam Southerland.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Cox-Ware Funeral Home.
Born on March 18, 1924, in Ochlocknee, Ga., Mrs. Brock died on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.
She lived in Bainbridge for 12 years and also spent time in Thomasville, Ga., and northeast Florida. She worked as a seamstress and was of the Christian faith. Brock was preceded in death by her late husbands, Cecil H. Cutts and James A. Brock Jr.; a brother, Howard Lewis; and five sisters, Lucille Richardson, Eunice Edwards, Blanche Brinson, Agnes Sharber and Jewell Searcy.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Grubbs of Eldorendo, Ga., and Patricia Love of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; a son, Lee Allen Cutts of Barwick, Ga.; a sister, Marie Porterfield of Fort Meade, Fla.; a brother, J.D. Lewis of Thomasville, Ga.; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
