Graveside services for Larry Connell Phillips, 51, of Climax, were held Sunday, Feb. 15, at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Dewitt Phillips and the Rev. Lynn Roberts officiating.

Active pallbearers were Mike Phillips, Terry Phillips, Mark Phillips, Nicholas Weathersby, J.C. Collins and Israel Guerra.

Mr. Phillips was born April 8, 1957, in Decatur County, Ga. He died on Feb. 12, 2009, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.

Phillips was a lifelong resident of Decatur County who worked in construction.

Survivors include his fiancé, Teresa Torres of Climax; three sisters, Leatha Weathersby and Marsha Darlene Collins, both of Climax, and Sandra Pearl Guerra of Strawberry Plains, Tenn.; three brothers, Waymon Michael Phillips of Brinson, Terry Keith Phillips of Bainbridge and Dewey Mark Phillips of Climax; three nephews, two nieces and a host of other family and friends.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
