Harold Cherry

Funeral services for Harold Gene Cherry, 67, of Bainbridge, will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. in the Sheffield Chapel at Colquitt Funeral Home in Colquitt, Ga., with the Revs. Fletcher Sheffield and James Scarborough officiating.

Interment will follow at Eternal Rest Memorial Gardens in Colquitt.

Mr. Cherry was born July 6, 1940, in Early County, Ga. He died Feb. 10, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Cherry was an electrician and followed the Pentecostal Christian faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Cherry, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Plamondon.

Survivors include his wife, Alice J. Cherry of Bainbridge; two sons, Gene Cherry of Donalsonville, Ga., and Doug Cherry of Brinson; a daughter, Alicia Plamondon of Bainbridge; a sister, Ocie Thompson of Colquitt; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Colquitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
